A concert pianist and a renowned conductor, Mr. Urias grew up in a rich cultural life in Curitiba, Southern Brazil, filled with classical music of all periods. The grandson of German immigrants, Maestro Marcelo always loved the piano, playing recitals and successful concerts with orchestra. His conducting career has taken him to lead choir and orchestras internationally. A consumate musician, he is comfortable with a vast choral, orchestral and operatic repertory. Mrs. Margareth Urias learned piano at a very young age and was soon playing in public, be it recitals or accompanying singers and choirs in church. She is a very fine musician with degrees in Piano Performance and Music Education. Mrs. Urias is a superbly qualified children's choir director and has mentored many young folks in their own musical pursuits. Today, many of her former music students are leaders in the music field as well.

Marcelo and Margareth's affection for the piano led to a desire to one day develop and produce a high quality instrument. Mr. Urias has therefore developed extensive studies and research in piano construction. These studies have provided the basis for the vision for an instrument with sonorous quality and unparalleled beauty, and offering proven durability and stability.
